First Integrated Farming
Launch in 2023.To enhance the productivity and profitability of marginal farmers households through IFS approach
Integrated farming combines diverse agricultural activities, such as crop cultivation, livestock, and aquaculture, synergistically optimizing resource use for sustainable, multifaceted productivity. It aims to enhance efficiency, minimize environmental impact, and diversify income streams for farmers.
The term crop diversity refers to both the planting of different crops (planting carrots, tomatoes, lettuce and beans on the same farm)
Livestock farming, also known as animal husbandry, involves the breeding and raising of domesticated animals for various purposes, such as meat, milk, fish, and other products.
India is home to over 1.4 billion people, with a growing middle class that demands more diverse and higher-quality food products. Investing in Indian agriculture offers growth potential due to a large market, government support, and advancements in agri-tech. Integrated farm model maximizes resource use, reduces risk, and ensures sustainable farming practices. Supported by government incentives and growing demand for organic and processed products, it creates economic and rural development opportunities.
